Manabiya for Android
The same lessons, recordings, videos, quizzes, daily plan and gardens as the website, as an app on your phone. Sign in with the same account (email and password, or Google) and your progress is shared with the website and the Windows app: study on one, carry on on the other.

Installing it
- Open this page on your Android phone (Android 8 or newer): japanese-jlpt.com/android, and tap Download.
- Open the downloaded file. Android asks whether your browser may install apps: allow it (you can switch it off again afterwards).
- Open Manabiya and sign in. New versions are offered by the app itself.
The app needs an internet connection: the lessons, recordings and films come from the website as you open them. It is not on Google Play yet, which is why Android asks about installing it.
What is in the app
All five JLPT levels, N5 to N1: 1,523 words, 848 grammar points and 2,495 kanji, each with its own lesson. The daily plan with spaced reviews, the listening modes, furigana you can hide, and the maple-leaf gardens. Pinch to zoom, or zoom the whole page under Settings › Reading › Zoom.
